More Evidence that shows the Bible is Supernaturally Inspired

Is the Bible Supernaturally inspired? Does it show internal evidence that God is behind it? The answer is Yes.

ONLY A SUPERNATURAL BEING KNOWS THE FUTURE BEFORE IT HAPPENS. The Bible has hundreds of prophecies that have come true. Coincidence or God-Evidence? Many of these divine predictions were given decades and even centuries before their fulfilment. This means either, the writers were good at guessing, or God revealed it to them.

Let’s look at four of my favourite examples. These will blow your mind if you are an atheist or agnostic. They will encourage your faith if you are a believer.

  1. Jesus’ Virgin Conception. Isaiah Chapter 7 verse 14 tells us Jesus’ mother would be a virgin. It was penned 700 years before Jesus was born. Christ had to be born of a virgin so He would be without Adam’s sin. This qualified him to be the sinless saviour.
  2. The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. The prophet Micah (chapter 5 verse 2) tells us Jesus would be born in the town of Bethlehem. Jesus was in fact born in Bethlehem, but only because Joseph and Mary were required by a Roman edict to go there. This edict was issued at the time Mary was due to give birth. Otherwise the couple would not have been there. Somehow Micah knew this hundreds of years in advance.
  3. The Jewish Temple would be rebuilt by a king named Cyrus. Isaiah the prophet (chapter 45 verse 1) named a Persian king and declared he would finance the rebuilding of the temple the Babylonians destroyed in 586 B.C. This prophecy was fulfilled decades later and is an indisputable fact of history.
  4. Jesus Christ predicted that Herod’s temple would be destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. He said not one stone would be left upon another but all would be torn down. This occurred exactly as stated almost 40 years after the prediction, and about 15 years after Matthew wrote it down!

These four examples are typical of the many other specific and unambiguous prophecies in the Bible. No explanation other than supernatural inspiration can explain this.
